M110 USB screen display: DLUSB_LAUNCHER.EXE Trojan trap
The VGA display works well driven from a netbook although the M110 doesn't support 1024 x 600 display. Windows 7 Starter (R) provides recommended resolution when switching to or from projector, but the Acer Aspire One netbook display goes black if the resolution is too high - or is distorted otherwise.
Plugging in a USB (A-A) cable gives the option of loading the DLUSB_LAUNCHER.EXE program from the M110. Alas the anti-virus software traps this as a possible Trojan (Kapersky Labs in this case).
Shutting down the anti-virus s/w allows this interface to work. This is not desirable.
IT WOULD BE PREFERABLE IF DELL PROVIDED A DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE TOOL THAT LOCATES THE M110 ON USB AND IMPLEMENTS THIS FEATURE.
The M110 and netbook displays function simultaneously in this mode.
The USB driven display suffers with apparently reduced resolution and has color saturation problems.
This mode is easy and quick if you can accept the reduced display quality. The a/v software problem is a show stopper for my application.

M110 update.
The VGA display worked well with ONE of two Acer Aspire One netbooks running Windows (R) 7 Starter at first. Subsequently, it became unreliable and then didn't work at all. It may be that the W7 OS "learned" the limitations of the netbook and then precluded obtaining a resolution compatible with the M110.
Fortunately the Karpersky Labs folks provided instructions to allow the DLUSB_LAUNCHER.EXE to run. This worked very well with both systems and became the only practical way to use the M110 with these netbooks.
It would be preferable if Dell provided a download application that would detect the M110 and configure the USB display. This would avoid opening a "hole" for a lookalike but nefarious program via USB.
