M110, firmware update problem
Hi there, I just tried updating to the latest Firmware (Image (M13), Media (A61), Projector (M0R004)) for the Dell M110 projector in the hope it includes a "Ceiling mount" option, but now I can now no longer access the USB, microSD & Internal Memory options! It just times out and gives the the "no input" message. VGA & HDMI are still fine.
I was able to update Image Projector (M0R004) via the USB cable and it completed, but after updating Media (A61) via a USB stick the problem started. It seemed to complete to 100%, but when I went on to update Image (M13) it no longer allowed me access.
I tried re-installing the M0R004 Projector Firmware and doing a factory reset several times, but the problem remains. I know the USB port is fine as it still allows me access via the Dell Flasher and the USB is "connected" to update the Projector Firmware. I tried looking online for an earlier version, i.e. M0R003 to see if this allowed me to start from scratch, but couldn't find anything, so it's a catch 22 situation now as the projector won't read the USB or MicroSD to update anything else.
Any advise on how to re-install the Firmware would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Nicol

Hi, same problem here. +1
Also Do USB and Wireless dongle not working after the update. Computer no longer can be connected by USB to access projector as storage, but USB works and gets recognised in download mode (for projector firmware update).
To me there are two problems here. One is a design flaw: projector firmware should include means to access at least one reasonable way to update media firmware. Otherwise any problem with media updates will make a fix impossible for users.
The second one, is that the official web site posts software that damages the product. Just like others having the same issue, I followed instructions by the book. Despite that, my product was damaged.
Considering also the incomprehensible fact that this projector doesn't have a ceiling mode (a flaw that motivated the attempt to update firmware in the first place), I see that customers who bought Dell M110 are not getting much love, are we?
I appreciate any information other users share about this issue (and many thanks to the first poster).
It would be very good if someone at Dell had a look at this so to have the firmware update corrected to a version that doesn't damage the projector, and to provide a means to fix firmware for users that already applied the faulty update.
Thank you very much, and best regards.

I use this projector rarely for specific events and I made the mistake of updating the firmware to A61 last week. Now I have the same problem. It's like the media player is gone. Nothing recognized on USB, mSD, or internal memory. No WiFi or Do USB. Dell's update just made this device much less useful.
