lamp failure

 " Dell customer rating plunges"

Dell replaced my 5100mp projector and accepted this as a known fault. Unfortunately the replacement lasted only 57 hours before it too developed a fault (failed graphics card or some such am told). No service engineers where I live in Western Australia will look at a Dell projector and Dell will neither replace nor repair it,  as it is out of warranty - nor even if I pay. In other words you buy a Dell projector not expected to last more than three years no matter how much you use it. I for one would never buy another Dell product - now wonder Computerworld magazine had this headline " Dell customer rating plunges".

They were correct. There is not anything we can do once it is out of warranty, By the way, that article was posted in 2005?
