ghosting effect please help.

I am currently using a 1800MP projector.

I have my projector hooked up to a dvd player. I am using a s-video cable. does anybody know how i can get rid of the ghosting effect that occurs on some dvds?

It's different dvds. I have noticed it on dvds made by mgm, warner brothers, universal. i know they are all made differently and some better than others. but they look fine on a television and i know it could do somthing with the dvd players resolution not matching the projector's resolution but i was just wondering if there is anything i could do to make it less ghosty/

I wiuld try a VGA to YPbPr (component) cable and see if the ghosting effect is still present.

Do you think a monster brand s-video cable would help?

JimmyD.,

I would borrow another DVD player and see how it looks.

I tried that. i tried it with 3 different dvd players. I am suprised nobody has mention this happening before. I know it just isnt my certain projector because i got a new projector of the same model because i had it replaced for a different problem.

it use to be much worst for some movies before i did some image adjusting.

i turned the brightness up to 75 and turned the black level on on my dvd player. this fixed many dvd sthat they didnt have the ghosting effect. such as movies like The Fog(original) and escape from new york. but some dvds still do it. it isnt to bad, but i would much rather not have this problem.
