I have just purchased the S300wi as well. I am also running Mac Lion and I get exactly the same problem :-( Where do I go to get latest firmware update?
Haha good luck contacting your local Dell support. Mine told me they do not even have a Mac to test, and acquiring one will require long process and time...
I've got the same problem as well. And the interactive pen is detected as a keyboard so I can't use it. Does the interactive pen actually work on Macs anyway?
I'm having the same exactly problem. In contact with Dell, they told me that don't have any Mac technician and in the future *perhaps* this projector will work with Lion on wireless mode. Wait until there...
If they don't support Mac systems why this information is shown on websites and overviews?
I just purchased a Dell 4220 projector and I am having the same problem. I have tried multiple different things to no avail. I have also already downloaded the new Mountain Lion 10.8 Mac OS and that does not fix the problem. I was sure hoping that it would. I have escalated my problem up the line with Dell and they call every other day to tell me that somebody somewhere is looking into the problem. The only work around I know that is coming in the future is the ability to mirror the Mac using Apple TV. That ability is also wireless and is coming with OS 10.8 Mountain Lion. I signed up with Apple as a Developer and have downloaded a beta of OS 10.8 and the mirroring worked fine. It does not however give the same type of multiple computer controls that are built into the Dell wireless solution, example: multiple computers logged in to the projector sharing the screen in four quadrants or switching between the four computers with the Dell provided management software. I will let you know if Dell solves the problem. BTW: I have the same problem with Mac Air's and Mac Pro's.

Same problem here, applied a patch "Dell Interactive Scaling Fix" and still it wasn't working. I get the black screen with mouse tails.

Hi Chris,
was wondering if you now have a firmware update for S300w for Mac 10.8. I'm desperate!
