Dell 3300MP Showing wrong colors

Question

Hello there.. I was giveing an Dell 3300mp unit today and when i pluged it in it was showing the wrong colors I did a factory reset but nothing.. I also ran the diag and all the color are off red = green blue = red and so one.. .. What would cuase this to happen ? Is tehre a way to fix this issue ? or is the unit pretty much a door stop ?

you have hooked up the component cables backward. red to red blue to blue. the fact that you see a picture means that the green is hoked up correctly. if it is a dvd player you must go into the set up and tell it component output is rgb and not ybr.
