Dell 3200mp Question.

Hello,
I have a 3200 mp dell and I want to hook up my directv high definition box to it. I found a hdmi to m1 cable. I was asked if the 3200 is hdcp. Does anyone know if it is? Also will the cable work to hook up the h20 directv box. Finally will it play high definition? Thanks for your help.

mets23,

It is not HDCP compliant so use a M1-DA to component cable to the DirecTV box. Though you only wind up with nominal 1024X576, it looks better than you might expect, because this is a close match to the Chroma (color) resolution of HDTV 1080i, which is 1/2 the luminance (nominal black and white pixel) resolution of 1920X1080i. It can do HD 480i/p, 576i/p,720p, 1080i through component.
