Dell 2400MP Freeze feature not working

I've got a new Dell 2400MP and I have it wired to my computer's COM port.  I've written a Windows application to provide remote control functionality and it's working great!  I can turn the projector on and off, pop up the menu and navigate through it, and blank the screen...all using the control command codes listed in the manual.  The FREEZE command, however, is not working for some reason.  I show the command as 0x0E and the CRC as 0xBFC2.  Is this correct?   I'd think it was something I was doing wrong if none of the other commands worked, but everything seems good except freeze.  I'm assuming it should work in PC mode (for example to freeze the screen during a PowerPoint presentation).
