Dell 1800MP Projector dim
We probably have less than 100 hours on our projector and it is out of warranty. We never used it very much but when a presenter came in they complained about the brightness of it. Recently when we were going to mount it we were thinking it was a 600-700 lumen projector and we would need a new/different one. FInding out that this was actually a 2100 lumen projector we went ahead and mounted it. It is fairly close to the screen projecting only a 7' 4x3 image. However it is extremely dim. You can see white letters fine. but areas of the images are too dark to make out in some cases. Photos are really dark. Is this a bad lamp? I hate to spend $300 only to have the same problem afterwards.

try adjusting the color there a lot of different thing you can adjust such as brightnesswhite intensity and saturation and many more get your owner manual out and read it i used a lcd tv i had it right below my screen and i come pare color and brightness, that all dont think your lamp is bad one other thing alway unplug it from the wall i think it wear out enighter which power the lamp, that my thought,i got a 1800mp the lamp has 1700 hours on it,i turn the power off with a plug that is control by a switch but let it cool down before unpluging it that when the blue light start flashing and fan shut off
