Dell 1609WX Projector Distance

I just purchased this projector to replace an HP projector where the lamp expired.  It was a considerable upgrade as far as display quality, resolution, and aspect ratio.  My problem now lies in the fact that my HP projector had two modes, one of the modes made the image smaller, the other had the image at full size.  My projector is mounted on the ceiling approx 13' from my 82" (diagonal) screen.  At 13' the screen size is over 113", and does not fit into my screen.  I am not interested in remounting and putting more holes in my ceiling, so I was wondering if there were any options in the software to digitally zoom the display in any further.

I have the manual zoom set to the lowest setting, and in the display settings menu the zoom bar was defaulted to zero.  I cannot locate any other "screen size" settings to change the display size.  If there is no way to adjust the screen size, this projector may not fit my needs.

Secondly, I cannot figure out how to get the screen to be re-positioned even though a tech on the phone indicated that you could change the V and H position of the screen with the remote/projector buttons.  Any guidance in this regard would be helpful.

Thanks

I am not aware of any options to digitally zoom.

So if you do not want to re-mount, you could look at a new projector with a differnt throw ratio. That's a very wide throw you have on there currently. Most others won't be near as wide.

Good Luck!
