Dell 1200mp dlp reset problem........

All I did was buy, and install a new lamp for my projector. My warranty has expired. And now all I get is a lighted screen without picture and/or sound. I did the "no cords, hold down the power button for 30 second" thing. That got me enough time to put in my password and hear the audio for about 30 seconds before it cut back off. (Orange "LAMP" and "TEMP" button.) When I turned it back on, it went to the "Light on the wall thing again.  Can anyone please help me. I just spent alot of money for this lamp to no avail. The economy is killing me.
