Dell 1100MP OSD brightness.

Hello,
I am attempting to get the Dell 1100MP DLP projector to work with our laser detection camera.

The OSD/searching screen shows up brighter than the image, when the image brightness is lowered. Is there a way to fix this? This causes a problem with our camera, since it measures the maximum light level (using white), and expects it to remain fairly constant. When the OSD/searching screen pops up (during screen resolution changes) the camera sees light that is brighter than the light it measured.

Unfortunately, if the OSD brightness cannot be controlled, we will probably have to recommend returning the projector, and list the projector as unsupported. Is there any reason that the OSD wouldn't use the image settings? And, will the rest of the Dell projector suffer from the same problem?

I was reading through the user manual and found an option where you can turn off the OSD. Would this help? Here is the link for the manual. I searched for OSD. Let us know if this works.

Thanks for the help. I had previously attempted to disable the OSD, but this just prevents the menus from displaying.

What I actually need to turn off is the screen that is displayed when the projector is searching for a video source. Or, I need a way of stopping the projector from switching sources when the resolution changes.
