Apparent new 7609wu with strange lamp warnings
Hi all,
I bought an apparently new in box, surplus dell 7609wu about 30 days ago that has had a strange lamp/bulb error three times now where the projector automatically turns the bulb off and then the bulb error light on the projector turns on. It doesn't let me put it into standby so the only way I can get it going again is by unplugging the power plug, plugging it back in and then turning it on. Then it usually works again for a week. The first and second time this happened while I was rapidly switching sources on my av receiver and I thought the 7609's internal circuits locked for some reason but this third time it happened right after turning it on. The bulb starting warming up with a green output instead of white and before it was even completely warmed up it turned the bulb off but stayed on, not in standby.
This last time I received an email alert from the projector stating the following:
Group: *****
Projector Name: 7609WU
Location: *****
Contact: *****
Lamp hours: 37
Temperature: 28°C
Status: Lamp warning
IP: ***.***.***.***
MAC: **:**:**:**:**:**
Any ideas on what is going on?

I am also seeing this issue with a few dell 7609s i have in our labs. One thing we did notice is that right before we began seeing this error we decided to network the projectors to where we could turn then on and off using the web interface, after that we began getting this error almost every mooring when we come in. Dell was unhelpful, since they were past warrant they sent us to the fix it guys, but I can't imagine this is a hardware issue with all these different projectors at the same time.

Mine still works most of the time. When it malfunctions, I just unplug its power cord, wait a few minutes and plug it back in.
