5100 Temporary loss of signal

While gaming on the 5100mp using the component inputs, the signal is often lost during page transitions or bright flashes such as explosions or quick flashes of light. I have it set not to search automatically for inputs but it still remains a huge problem and very frustrating. The screen will go to the blue screen followed by the white screen with the dell logo and eventually make it back to where it needs to be. Is there any way to disable what is causing this?
