5100 MP Projector will not stay shut off

I have a seven year old Dell 5100MP projector that is turning itself on. If we go through the normal power down, the projector runs for the usual cool down then shuts off. Then within five minutes it will power up all by itself. Lamp comes on and the unit stays on until powered off then the cycle starts all over again. We have to keep it unplugged (ceiling mounted).

I went over the settings and turned off auto-detect feature as the computer it is hooked to is always on. But that was not the answer.

Doesn't matter if the power button or the remote is used to power the unit down it will still start up on it's own within a few minutes.

Anyone else seen this issue before? I would appreciate some feed back on this.
