2400 MP Loses Signal

I have my projector connected to my Directv and my Xbox 360 through my receiver. I seem to lose signal at the projector (it searches for one) when I am watching a movie and theres a bright flash (Explosion) of sorts. This also happens when I am playing Xbox as well. Its very annoying to say the least picture goes out, projector searches for signal for a second then reconnects to whichever source was outputting originally. It seems like there is some signal clipping occurring when theres a bright there's flash on the screen. I was searching the forums and saw one other guy with this problem. No real explanation or cause in his post. Any help would be appreciated.
