2200mp shuts itself off
The unit for the last two months has decided to randomly shut itself off. Stone cold - just stops - fan and all - which is prob. wonderful for the bulb. Prior to this happening I probably had about 800 to 900 hours on the unit.
Sometimes this happens after 5 minutes of being on, sometimes after 1 hour, some nights it is perfectly fine.
The bulb clock resets itself to zero about half the time it does this.
After whatever inside the unit resets (usually after about 10 to 15 minutes), I can power the unit back on and it will not shut itself off again for the remainder of the time it is on (until I shut it off and turn it back on the next day when there is a bout a 50/50 chance it will go through the above routine again)
Yes - I know this is now out of warranty but this particular problem is just slightly annoying so gotta ask - any one know whats happening, is thier anyway to fix this, and is this anything Dell will deal with?

It sounds like it is overheating. Could be due to dust buildup inside. See if this thread gives you any ideas.

I guess I will need to take it apart and try again...
