Session Started with Agent

02/01/2010   07:49:14AM

Agent : "Thank you for contacting Dell Small and Medium Business Hardware Warranty Support. How may I help you today?"

02/01/2010   07:49:34AM

Me: "Hello. I am having a problem with a Dell 2100MP Projector."

02/01/2010   07:50:15AM

Me: "I tried to use it last week and the LAMP light was illuminated. I read the manual and learned that this indicates the lamp needs to be replaced. We have replaced the lamp and the projector still does not work."

02/01/2010   07:50:46AM

Agent : "Thanks for sharing this issue with me, I just need to take a few details, first of all may I have your full name, phone number and email address?"

02/01/2010   07:51:03AM

Me: "I provided that when I initiated Chat."

02/01/2010   07:51:38AM

Agent : "May I have those information once again for verification and for the records."

02/01/2010   07:52:50AM

Agent : "Can you confirm the system that you would like to have support with is a Dell 2100MP Projector?"

02/01/2010   07:53:02AM

Me: "That is correct."

02/01/2010   07:53:20AM

Agent : "Thank you for the confirmation. Let me just pull up your records for 2–3 minutes."

02/01/2010   07:54:34AM

Agent : "Okay, just to inform you, your warranty for hardware replacement for this system has expired last 2006-06-08 . But you are still eligible for technical support."

02/01/2010   07:54:45AM

Me: "Okay."

02/01/2010   07:55:02AM

Agent : "With regard to your concern, may I know if the projector is turning on or it has a power?"

02/01/2010   07:56:29AM

Me: "When I press the power button, the power button illuminates, and the menu button illuminates. The projector then clicks and powers up again. This happens 3 - 4 times and then the fan comes on and the LAMP light is illuminated solid amber. I can get no other response from the projector."

02/01/2010   07:57:34AM

Agent : "I see. Is there a Video that is appearing?"

02/01/2010   07:58:02AM

Me: "No. There is not even any light appearing. The lamp is not lighting up."

02/01/2010   07:59:34AM

Agent : "Is the power button LED lit-up?"

02/01/2010   08:00:05AM

Me: "Yes, as I said before ... the power button illuminates, and the menu button illuminates. The projector then clicks and powers up again. This happens 3 - 4 time and then the fan comes on and the LAMP light is illuminated solid amber. I can get no other response from the projector"

02/01/2010   08:01:24AM

Agent : "Okay, one moment please let me double check that for you."

02/01/2010   08:03:28AM

Agent : "Is there a noise coming from the bulb when shaken?"

02/01/2010   08:03:51AM

Me: "I told you previously, I have replaced the bulb. This is a brand-new bulb."

02/01/2010   08:05:13AM

Agent : "If that is the case, the projector that you have is defective and needs to be replace. However, the warranty of the projector has expired. Unfortunately, we can no longer replace the projector."

02/01/2010   08:05:41AM

Me: "Okay. Thank you for your assistance."

02/01/2010   08:05:54AM

Agent : "Would you like me to purchase a new projector?"

02/01/2010   08:06:05AM

Me: "No. We will take care of that ourselves."

02/01/2010   08:06:23AM

Agent : "I hope that the information I provided was of great help to you. Is there anything else that I can assist you with?"

02/01/2010   08:06:26AM

Me: "Thank you and have a good day."
