1100MP Not working

Hi all,

 

I have an 1100MP projector that I purchased in April 2005.  I've used it for less than 40 hours and have always kept it in its case, therefore it has no dust.

 

The projector misbehaves as follows:

1.  When powering on the projector, both the temp and lamp LEDs light orange for about two seconds.

2.  The temp and lamp LEDs go out, then the rest of the lights turn blue (power, menu and directional lights), along with the fan turning on for about five seconds

 

The above two steps repeat for about five cycles until finally the projector powers down and the power button blinks blue.

 

I am unable to activate the OSD menu.  I've tried pressing the menu button on both the remote and projector for 15 seconds, but the OSD menu does not display.

 

I've already opened the case and found no dust in it.  The projector is out of warranty.  I need to use it for a presentation this week.  Any suggestions?   I doubt that the bulb is burnt since I've used it for less that 40 hours, plus I'd hate to pay $300.00 for a bulb to find out it's not the problem.

 

Please advise on how to fix.
