WinTV HVR 1250
I have done several upgrades, replaced hard drives, removed WinTV HVR 1250, and I now re-installed WinTV card to capture movies from my pvr. Is it possible to download the WinTV application from Dell, or is there another way to accomplish this? My pc is a Studio XPS 435 MT

I went to My Dell Downloads: https://smartsource.dell.com/Web/main.aspx It says to register & download pre-installed software for your new Dell. I am registered, and it mainly shows Adobe reader, which doesn't help me. I need the app. software for my Win TV - HVR 1250. The manufacturer won't let me download the software without the product key. I'm way past the warranty time, so I'm stuck. Please help.

No idea.
See if you can find the original CD.

I have searched for it, but will check further. I believe it came pre-installed, and Dell sent me some cd's on request only. I recall Dell mailing a cd for my hard drive for a known issue.

Win tv software is not an dell app nor is it a windows app. You have to get it from Hauppauge. It is free to download as long as you have an original win tv disk. Or you can order a disk for $10 to get the free upgrade.
BTW a tv tuner is not needed now that your cable tv provider will allow viewing over the Internet. Much better picture.
