Windows Update asking for Works9.msi
I have an Inspiron 1012 Netbook that came pre-installed with Works 9. Recently, Windows tried to perform the following update: Security Update for MS Works 9 (KB2680317). However, before it can complete the update, it needs the Works9 CD...it is looking for an msi file. I do not have the disks, and I do not have a CD ROM drive.
I saw a fix in this forum, however, it looked like it was for Windows 7 64-bit. My netbook is running Windows 7 Starter 32-bit, so I am thinking the 64-bit fix will not work. Can you help me get a fix for the 32-bit version??
Thank you!!!
Laurie

Microsoft Works is a 32 bit OS. There is no 64 bit version but it will work on both the 32 and 64 bit OS.
