Unwanted software

I am being frustrated at a popup box from dell digital downloads requesting that I download a piece of software that I do not want.  When I bought the machine (couple of week ago) I made it clear that I only wanted what I had ordered. I have been unable to stop this box popping up.  I opened a request with Dell asking them to stop this but this has been ignored (request no. 981850056).  Can Dell not do better than ignore their customers once the sale is complete?

Always include PC model and version of Windows in your posts.

What software is being offered to you? And what app is offering it, SupportAssist or Dell Update?

You can always uninstall or disable either/both of those if you don't want to be nagged. But then you won't get notified when any updates are available for your system, but you can still check manually.

Sometimes it's difficult to uninstall SupportAssist, but the free version of Revo Uninstaller will take care of it.

And edit your post to remove that request number. Never post anything in an open forum like this that potentially might reveal your personal info.
