Removing an email account from Microsoft Office 2013
How do I get rid of an email account in Outlook?
For test purposes only, I created a new email account with my local Internet provider. When setting up Outlook 2013 on my Windows 8 computer, I created a corresponding Outlook email account. Now that Outlook is set up successfully, I deleted that email account from my ISP and from Outlook. I have since set up other working email accounts.
The problem is that the test account that has been removed from Outlook still appears in the left pane of Outlook’s Mail tab, along with the working accounts. If I ask Outlook to change existing account settings, that account doesn’t appear in the list, confirming that it has been removed. How can I also remove it from the main screen?
