Question about Dell Backup and Recovery tool after upgrading to windows 10
Hello,
I've Dell Inspiron 15 3000 3542 Laptop which i bought sometime ago, it came with windows 8.1 and i upgraded to windows 10 using the free upgrade offer.
Now I've a question, as you know there's a tool called "Dell backup and recovery" so now if i create factory recovery media with it - what kind of media will it create? I mean it will create the factory media with windows 8.1 which came with it, so if i create the factory media and reinstall then it'll be windows 8.1 which came with it.
Or the factory recovery media with windows 10 in it?
I hope you can understand the question, and your help will be very much appreciated.

It will revert to Windows 8.1 factory settings if you upgraded within the Windows 8.1 Desktop to Windows 10.

Can you please explain what you mean by upgrading within the windows 8.1 desktop?
I upgraded using the free upgrade that was provided to me through automatic updates thing.

I mean using Windows Update or using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to initiate the Update while logged into Windows 8.1. i.e. not creating Bootable USB media and clean installing.
If you've got the latest version of Dell Backup and Recovery you should be able to make Windows 8.1 Factory Media. See instructions here:

Personally I would just download the Windows 10 TH2 .iso.

Can someone please tell me how to prevent Dell's daily offers of an upgrade in Windows 10 which I have repeatedly rejected in the options, but continue to appear please

Yes, I second this question, and never find an answer. Dell's daily offer on start up is driving me nuts, when I paid a lot for computer and software yet Dell controls this backup popup that never NEVER goes away and never gives me the option to control its destiny. This kind of scheme is making me reconsider ever buying a Dell again. come on Dell, do better for your customers who now own the equipment, not you. Thanks.

Have you ever seen HP or Lenovo?! I'm guessing not. You will not escape this kind of stuff with OEM systems.
Fix 1: Uninstall it. It's necessity is questionable.
Fix 2: Do a clean install of Windows, then only the stuff you want installed is installed.
