push down offer of Microsoft Office 365
I just purchased another DELL computer (a laptop - Inspiron 16). I have purchased and enjoyed a number of Dell desktops over the past decade and, up to now, have been extremely pleased.
Unfortunately, this laptop came delivered with a push down offer of Microsoft Office 365 which I had no intention of using since I already have a Office 365 subscription. Without repeating the ensuing details and mess, I now find myself locked out of my Office 365 subscription account and at the mercy of Microsoft's inane procedures to unlock an account -- which has yet to occur.
Needless to say, I have not been able to utilize Office 365 on my recent purchase. -- thank goodness for my two Dell desktops which were not impacted. I can only shake my head in disgust that a firm such as Dell would engage in an activity with Microsoft that limits the use of their computers without their software provider having an effective installation and efficient remedy/resolution
Going forward, I am left with no choice but to search out and purchase only those desktops/laptops that do not offer this push down of software.
