outlook missing from microsoft 365 family after reinstall.

Hi PA.WOODCHUCK:

What is your Windows operating system (open a Run dialog box (Windows key + R) and enter winver to find the version and OS build number).  Did you purchase Microsoft 365 from Dell, Microsoft or some other retailer, and what solutions have you tried so far?

I use a "perpetual" edition of Microsoft Office 2019 I purchased from an authorized reseller (BestBuy) on a Win 10 machine so I'm not sure if either of the following suggestions will help.

First, check to see if Outlook.exe exists in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\.  If it does then right-click the Outlook.exe file and choose Send To | Desktop (create shortcut) and see if the new shortcut on your desktop launches Outlook correctly.

If that doesn't work then try a repair of your Microsoft 365 installation as instructed in the Aug 2024 Computerworld article Five Steps to Repair Microsoft Office.  If the Quick Repair option (Step # 2) doesn't work then move on to a full Online Repair (Step # 3).

Went through everything except SaRA tool which will try later. outlook.exe is missing from folder! If I could figure what files are needed for OL to run I could try copy/paste from working PC. When I check account it shows OL is there. Account even reflects 1TB onedrive storage.

UPDATE: got callback from MS and known bug... fix is to use offline installer.

MS sais should have BUG fixed in near future.
