MS Office License with Vostro
As per one of the Dell videos, it says like since 2016, Licensed Full version of MS Office comes by default with Dell Machines. But for our academic purpose, we recently purchased 150 Dell Vostro 3470 Desktops. In those machines, we just could see some Trial version of MS-Office and there was no option to activate it. Hence we contacted both the Authorized suppliers of these systems and also they inturn contacted Dell. The info. we received now from both suppliers and Dell is that they can only supply Trial Version of MS-Office software as the contract work order never asks specifically for full version of MS-Office. This is contradictory to the Claim from Dell stating that Full License version of MS-Office will come by default with all Dell Machines

The Customer Care forum section would be best for this. Actually contacting Dell direct would even be better. This section is for hardware problems and mostly answered by users.
I looked at the Vostro's and this is what it shows:
Microsoft Office 30 Day Trial
Included in price
It has options to purchase, at extra cost, full Office versions.

Thank you for your message. I apologize for the confusion here.
MS Office (full version) is not part of the order is an optional product. If you have paid for MS office suite while purchasing the system you will have the product key (digital key) with the system.
All Dell systems are shipped with a trial version of MS office & MacAfee.
You can check the order details to see if there are any charges on MS office.

This is false. No vendor does this its an option because its not free.
If you buy with your machine you get a Microsoft Product Identifier Card with the KEY to reinstall should your drive fail.
This has been true since Office 2002 and later. Office 2007 is not supported anymore. Office 2010 is the last version that supported XP which went END OF LIFE in 2014. Office 2016 is NOW Office for a single PC (Office Home & Student 2019, Office Home & Business 2019, Office Professional 2019)
Each copy can only be installed on 1 machine.
