Feedback/Regression: Please restore "Custom Charge" thresholds in Dell Optimizer 6.x
I am writing to provide feedback regarding the removal of manual battery charge thresholds in Dell Optimizer 6.1.
On previous versions (and in the old MyDell app), users could easily set a Custom Charge limit (e.g., Start at 50%, Stop at 80%) directly in the UI. The custom settings are essential for users who primarily use their laptops docked or plugged in and want to preserve long-term battery health.
In Dell Optimizer 6.1:
The "Custom" charging profile is missing from the GUI.
Toggling "Dynamic Charge" to OFF does not reveal manual percentage sliders.
"Intelligent Battery Extender" is not a valid replacement as it still frequently charges to 100%.
While I am aware I can force these limits via the BIOS, removing this control from the OS-level software is a significant regression in user experience, as I can no longer quickly change the values if I need a full charge. Please restore the Custom Charging thresholds to the Power menu in the next update.

Entering BIOS to setup custom charge thresholds is an unreasonable expectation for standard computer users. Also, entering the BIOS is usually blocked for corporate users. Dell Optimizer is something a standard user can change settings in.
It is also not helpful for laptops that do not provide the ability to set custom thresholds in BIOS (eg inspiron 13 5330). But you can do it in Dell Optimizer before v6 or in MyDell.
Lastly, losing this capability in software makes it impossible to adjust the battery thresholds etc when remoting a computer, without providing someone physically at the computer ALOT of guidance.
Can somebody please bring back this handy feature to Dell Optimizer.
