DW316 DVD and windows 11

I can't get my Dell Optiplex7470, which I've just upgraded to windows 11 , to recognise my Dell316 DVD drive. Device Manager says it can't load the driver, and the hardware troubleshooter says the driver is up to date. The unit has power and the tray opens OK but there seems to be no data connection with the unit. Anyone know what the answer may be please?
