DMC iPhone App wants me to enter code on PC, but nowhere to enter.

I have an iphone and Inspiron laptop. 

I have successfully installed DMC on both PC and iPhone, and it's working for calls and incoming text. But to send texts I am required to connect the iPhone app to the PC.The trouble begins after I go through the steps to allow access to contacts etc. The final screen it says "almost there!" and gives me a code to enter in the desktop app.

The trouble is there's no way to enter that code on the desktop app that I can see. I have tried connecting a new phone. I've tried uninstalling both apps several times, disconnecting, restarting etc. But I cannot get the phone app to go past the 'code' screen without entering the code on the PC, yet there is nowhere on the PC to enter it for iPhone. That option exists if I choose android, but that obviously does not work either.
