Dell Venu8 3840 upgrade to Lollipop

Good day,

I purchased a Dell Venue 8 3840 as they had a good sale on them at Best Buy.  I also looked on web before buying and saw that Dell had upgraded or supposedly upgraded to Android Lollipop.  Now I know that I am stuck at 4.4.4 and many apps are not compatible with this tablet.  What I thought was a good deal now  ends up being a waste of money.  Very disappointed.  Dell Kindly create update for this.
