Dell Backup & Recovery fails to backup Factory Recovery Media
Dell Backup & Recovery fails to backup Factory Recovery Media. The drive intializes to 100% then next step I immediately get the following error:
"Operation cannot be completed. Please connect a different device to proceed with this feature."
The drive has been tested with a Windows backup with no problems.
Laptop = Dell Inc. Latitude E6540
OS= Windows 7 Professional (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601)
Backup drive= Seagate BUP BK USB Device [Hard drive] (4000.78 GB) -- drive 1, s/n NA7PET05

Hi Floyd123,
Thanks for posting.
It's possible that the Dell Backup and Recovery may have become corrupted on your system.
Please perform the below steps :
1) Uninstall DBAR from the computer
2) Restart the computer
3) Download the DBAR from the following link :
Link : http://dell.to/2q9pmOl;
4) Install DBAR from the link and it will automatically update on the computer.
5) Now try creating factory recovery media and it should work

Thanks Robert. Performed recommendation and getting same error. I checked the app and you still should be able to backup a factory image without having to upgrade to premium. I tried all USB ports and getting the same error. It's too bad I can't backup my image. Maybe try Acronis.
