Dell Backup and Recovery Will Not Create USB Factory Recovery Media
I am running Dell Backup and Recovery Premium on a Dell XPS 8700 system. I recently updated to DBAR 1.9.2.8 under Windows 8.1. I tried creating factory recovery media (12.24 GB) on a 16 GB USB drive prior to updating to Windows 10, but received a non-specific "An error occurred" message. I next updated to Windows 10. I then tried creating factory recovery media to a USB drive again, with the same error message. Is there someone who could help troubleshoot the problem? I can send log files or other information as needed.

Robin,
Thanks for your suggestions. I followed your instructions, but I am receiving the same error ("An error occurred"). DBAR does not appear to even be getting out of the "Initialization" stage when I am trying to create Factory Recovery Media.
I tried again with a fresh, unused 16 GB SanDisk Cruzer Blade USB Flash Drive (14.91 GB FAT32 primary+ 16 MB unallocated). I reformatted the primary partition to NTFS with the default allocation size. I then tried again to create the Factory Recovery Media. The same error occurred in the Initialization stage.
Please advise. If you tell me where the log files are, I can send them to you.
