Dell Backup and Recovery 1.9.2.8

Since updating to 1.9.2.8 on service tag<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>

, when attempting to perform a Data backup to an external USB3-connected 4TB drive, Dell Backup and Recovery crashes.  My machine has 256GB c: and 1TB d:, and I've been successfully backing-up for a year and a half.  With this new version, the backup operation crashes after working at it for quite a while.

I've performed a chkdsk /f on both c: and d:, and both are fine.  I've tried the backup to two different 4TB external drives that had been working fine, but there's no difference.

I'd like to revert to the previous version of Dell Backup and Recovery.  Is that possible?  Where/how do I get it?

I have the same issue when I try to us a 64 GB USB flash drive. Dell, will you please provide backup SW that works properly?

The problem is not with your Dell PC, or your external USB flash drive.  The problem is with Dell Backup and Recovery.  It is worthless software.  You are better off finding another backup solution that actually works.

I am also running into bugs with version 1.9.2.8    It hard crashes (no error message, just quits) when I try to create system recovery discs or check for an update.  It corrupted the recovery media (when updating the existing recovery discs as Dell suggested doing) that had been created under 1.9.1.5 so that it no longer worked.  When I boot to that media, I just get a Windows error.

So we can land autonomous machines on other planets and create computers that fit in the palm of our hand but we still cannot get computer backups working properly after 20+ years?
