DDPM Phantom Monitor - MacOS

I have 2 MacBook Pros connected to a U4919DW monitor using the network KVM.  When I use the hotkey to switch between input sources the windows that were open on the monitor initially do not return to the laptop screen.  They appear to be still on the monitor behind the other MacBook's screen.  The only way to get them to pull over is to disconnect the monitor by pulling HDMI or USB-C cord out of the laptop.  Is there a setting in DDPM to force windows back onto the laptop screen when switching?

Hi there,
That "blocked by an Administrator" message usually comes from Windows User Account Control blocking the installer. Here’s a quick fix:

Right‑click the Setup.exe from the Cyberlink Media Suite CD and select “Run as administrator.”

Confirm any UAC prompts that appear.

Make sure your antivirus isn’t preventing the install.

Dell has an official support article that explains this exact blocked‑by‑admin issue with the DW316 optical drive and offers a better installation method — installing the latest CMS application directly instead of using the DVD: see “CyberLink Media Suite DVD Installation is Slow” under Dell’s support KB 000289867 https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000289867/cyberlink-media-suite-dvd-installation-is-slow?utm_source=chatgpt.com

In my work with guaranteed rent estate agents, tech restrictions on new devices are common, and following that guide usually gets things working smoothly. Good luck getting the Cyberlink Media Suite up and running!

I’m running into the exact same problem phantom monitors showing up in DDPM on macOS even when nothing’s connected. Restarting clears it temporarily, but the ghost displays keep reappearing, especially after switching inputs or using hubs.

There’s a related Dell thread where users mention DDPM not working correctly after macOS Sequoia updates:
U4021QW, macOS 15 Sequoia, DDPM not working. One of Dell’s reps suggests unplugging the monitor, restarting the Mac, then reconnecting it seems to help in some cases.

I actually ran into this while setting up a workspace for a project with some real estate agents London tech glitches like this can really slow things down during remote setups. Hope Dell pushes a macOS-friendly update soon.
