DDPM 2.0.0.72 won't start after install
After Dell Display Manager (v2.3.2.23) kept insisting that I upgrade to Dell Display and Peripheral Manager. I selected the update from within the DDM Update window.
DDPM appeared to install OK, but when I attempt to start it, it's stuck on "Connecting to DDPM Subagent...". I tried letting it sit for 20+ minutes, and again after rebooting, but no joy.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

Hi!
I too had this problem, but i did this one simple fix and it worked!
Step 1: Go to File Explorer or manager or your Default File App
Step 2: In the Browsing box or PATH bar, type : %appdata%
Step 3: Locate the Folder named "Dell"
Step 4: Locate "DDPM 2.0" or 'DDPM' and Delete it
Step 5: Re-Launch Dell Display and Peripheral Manager
Note: This will Probably delete your Prefrences, like it did for me, but it will probably restore your DDPM aswell.

Any update on this? Looks like a common issue with Windows 11.

Are you all testing DDPM 2.0.1.16?

I had the same issue. Also after upgrade to DDPM 2.0.2.11 same problem still. It is annoying because I have a 49" monitor. Support keeps asking about peripherals and fw versions, but no fix has been offered.

@renzbu it looks like a common issue with the KVM Monitor driver, it causes the whole app to stop. If you follow the steps i gave, it will restore DDPM indefinitely (as per my tests)

@Rrogerrrrr just follow the steps ive given above, it will reset your preferences but also fix your DDPM indefinitely (as per my tests)

Dell should look into this problem, as it can be very annoying to office workers who have their monitor preferences reset every startup.

It's not just annoying, it's killing my experience with the Dell Monitor (custom zones, KVM)

Is there any way to downgrade to the old Display Manager until they sort this out? The new version is not recognizing my monitors at all.

Tried above method. Not working for me. Still stuck at "Connecting to DDPM Subagent".

Please test Windows OS DDPM 2.0.3.9 released June 2, 2025 and post your results. You can find it in the "FAQ Windows OS DDM and DDPM". Include the following =
PC model
Dell Monitor model

I just downloaded and installed DDPM 2.0.3.9, (replaced 2.0.2.11).
I don't see any difference - 2.0.3.9 has the same problems as 2.0.2011:
I have a Latitude 5520 running Win10 Pro with Dell P2321W monitor connected via USB-C. Also, a SB522A Soundbar and Dell WB7022 HD Webcam are connected to the monitor.
Another note: I can't determine the current version of the DDPM from within the application; i.e., shouldn't the "About" tab display the version?
This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!! We had enough trouble with the "new" DDM last year until that finally got straightened out, and I never had any trouble with the previous DPM. Now the "improved" and combined version is only half-working, and not even 100% of the time at that.
This is really bad; what's going on at Dell regarding software development?
