Can't reinstall Office 2010 after factory reset (have product key), OEM version

Hi, I recently did a factory reset on my Dell desktop computer because of a virus.

I have a valid Microsoft Office 2010 (Home & Student) Product Identifier card and valid Product Key. However, it is an OEM version that came with my computer purchase from Dell. I do not have a Microsoft Office CD to accompany it (I have every other CD that came with the computer however).

When I contacted Microsoft, they explained the reason I can't download the Office 2010 software from their site (and activate it) is because it is OEM and that I must contact Dell.

I have tried multiple times from multiple internet browsers to re-download Office via Microsoft's website (via this link: https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/install-office-2010-1b8f3c9b-bdd2-4a4f-8c88-aa756546529d). I get the same error message each time, after the Product Key is validated. Dell says I'm out of warranty since 2016 so they can't help.

I'm a student and would really rather not pay for a new version of Office, considering I've already purchased it. I really need Word and Excel on my computer right now. Please help, and thank you!

Since you're a student, you may be able to get Office 365 for free.  Or if you prefer, you may be able to download Office 2019 for free.

And there's always the free LibreOffice which is compatible with all Microsoft Office file formats and will read and write those formats, and other formats too.

I also see Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 with the disc on eBay for as low as ~$17 + shipping.

Be sure to do your homework because I don't know any of these sellers and be sure the offer comes with a valid Microsoft Office product key...

Thanks @nyc10036 but I have the Dell Drivers CD and everything else intact. It's only Microsoft Office that I'm having trouble with.

@Yankee868   - Did you look into seeing if you qualify for free Office 360 or Office 2019? That certainly would be your easiest and no-cost option...
