You can click here and here for resolving Webcam issues.
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

So sick and tired of the total lack of help from Dell with this issue, it has been going on with 2 laptops since January, we have uninstalled and reinstalled the operating sytstem twice now and we don't seem to be able to get past this point in their service. I get the feeling the person on the end of the phone has no idea what to do. They try to phone me on the office number outside of the hours I have given and by email just keep sending the same set of instructions over and over. We have onsite warrenty but no offer of this just told it is not a hardware issue so reinstall Windows - link sent but video support shows entirely different images to the ones we get, play with Bios, remove camera but no instructions to reintstall.
I want to be able to sit at my laptop and get on with the day but I can't attend virtual meetings without having to find an alternative method -thank goodness I kepy my old laptop.
Complaints have been ignored and escallation to manager requests result in no contact except them sending the same set of instrructions to uninstall Windows!

I had this problem in May and one techie said that the unique camera driver was replaced by Microsoft's update. she deleted the driver and installed a new one. It worked well. It has happened again, but no one in tech support seems able to take care of it now. Where can I find the driver? What is it and how can I get my camera back? I feel your pain. I have spent over 5 hours with Dell's tech support and done all of the steps that Dell recommends including reinstalling windows. That doesn't get me the unique driver that I seem to need. Any ideas?

Actually yesterday, I was in touch with a fantasstic tech named Diana Mena who knew how to get my camera back when the others just made matters worse. If your computer loses the camera, see if she can help. She knew which files to delete and which drsivers to revert back to the ones prior to my disasterous update. Good Luck
