Yellow color offset

Good Morning,

I have the following problem. The color yellow appears in color printouts as a shadow over the other colors. When I write a colored text, you can see that the yellow text is a little (approx. 1-2mm) higher than the other colors. The toner is 80% full, the contamination check is flawless, the color registration is meticulously adjusted, but unfortunately all without success. Otherwise the printer works fine.

I would be very grateful for further ideas.

It sounds like your printer may be experiencing a color registration issue, which can cause the yellow color to appear offset or "out of register" with the other colors. Here are a few things you can try:

  1. Run a color registration test: Many printers have a built-in test that can help you diagnose and correct color registration issues. Check your printer's user manual or online support resources to see if this is an option for your model.

  2. Check the toner cartridge: Make sure the yellow toner cartridge is properly seated and installed correctly. If it is not, this can cause color registration issues.

  3. Clean the printer: Even if the contamination check is flawless, it's possible that there may be some dust or debris on the print heads or other components that is causing the color offset. Try cleaning the printer according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  4. Adjust the color registration again: It's possible that the initial adjustment wasn't quite precise enough. Try adjusting the color registration again, this time with extra care and attention to detail.

  5. Consider professional repair: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be time to consider professional repair or replacement of the printer.
