Why doesn't my Dell Photo Printer 720 print?
The ink cartridges move back and forth over the paper, but leave no ink on it. The Dell Printer Solution Center tells me the cartridges aren't empty. I tried dipping the bottoms of the cartridges in warm water, and multicolored ink immediately came out of the color cartridge, but nothing came out of the other one.
I'm running it on Windows 7 using the Vista 64 bit driver. I can't find any indication in Device Manager or Devices and Printers that anything isn't working the way it's supposed to.
Should I just get new ink cartridges? Or is there some other problem? I've been Googling it since yesterday but can't find anything that helps.

ettalanneare,
It could very well be that you need a Windows 7 driver for the printer. If the printer hasnt been used in a long time the cartidges may be bad. You can surely try purchased more cartrideges. You may also consider using the money you would spend on cartridges to add to the purchase of a newer printer.
