V715w Printer - Erroneous message of black cartridge missing

My V715W printer was not printing with black ink.  I replaced the black cartridge with a Dell cartridge.  Then my printer showed an error message stating "blank ink cartridge missing".  I re-installed the cartridge and received the same message. I installed another Dell black ink cartridge and received the same error message.
