v313w All In One having some kind of tantrum after getting new ink
After installing new cartriges, my printer will print test pages and scanned images in color but not images from my desktop including color documents. I've tried several deep cleans, restarting, and reinstalling the cartriges with no luck. My ink levels are almost full, wireless signal shows strong, and I get no error messages. I am no computer wiz and have no idea what else to try. I'm about to take it out back for a little target practice. Can anyone save it?

Cheriserich,
Start, control panel, devices and printers, right click on your printer, left click printer preferences. Make sure it's checked to use all available ink.

Cherise,
Change it to print only using Black, save it. then chage it back to use all available ink.

Cherise,
Do you have another unrestricted user account on this computer? If yes, try that account and see if the settings can be changed.

Mark, that area of Ink Use is shaded. I'm not sure why, but I can't change the setting. It's not one I have tinkered with before. So you think it's a problem with my computer and not the printer?

Sometimes you just get bad ink cartridges .... been there myself.
You might need to pull the printer head itself and clean it / replace it... been there ... done that myself.

Sometimes my printer gets "temperamental" after being disconnected from the laptop for a while.

Rick,
We had the PC cleaned up a while back, it was having issues. Now it appears we are having some kind of administrator problem (according to my husband) we may need to reset it to factory settings. I guess I'll just have to wait to see if that fixes the problem with the printer. The deadline for the school project that we needed the color printer for has come and gone. My daughter got to practice her painting skills and it worked out fine. Thank you for your help!
