@Sheridan1572 This issue could be caused by several factors, including a dirty scanner glass, worn-out scanner components, or a software glitch. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:
Clean the scanner glass: Wipe the glass surface and the surrounding areas with a soft, dry cloth.
Check the scanner components: Ensure that the scanner components, such as the scanning lamp, are not worn out or damaged. If you suspect any damage, consider replacing the affected parts.
Restart the printer: Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few seconds and then plug it back in. This can help resolve any software-related issues.
Update the printer's firmware: If the issue persists, check if there are any available firmware updates for your printer.
Try scanning using different software: If the issue is still present, try using a different scanning software to see if the problem is with the original software you are using.
Contact Dell Support: If you've tried all of the above steps and the issue persists, contact Dell Support for further assistance.
Remember to follow all the manufacturer's instructions when handling or cleaning the printer.
