smtp issues and an auto-filled password that I can't change
So I am trying to set up the scan to email function on my organization H625cdw dell printer. I have been following the recommendations in the printer manual (page 241 and 242) and on posts such as the links below.

I have yet to succeed. I have tried it on gmail and outlook accounts and failed on both These are the settings I have entered in so far. I'll use my outlook account settings as an example.
In the process of doing this, I think I have discovered what is wrong. But I don't know how to fix it. I can't seem to change my smtp login password. The password is autofilled with 4 letters (hidden of course) and I can't seem to override it. As you can see in the pic above, this 4 letter password is also autofilled into the POP section. It's also autofilled into the administrator password section. I believe that I am supposed to put the password of the outlook account into that password area. But I can't get that password to save. I'm stuck with this unknown 4 character password for some reason. Whenever I try to scan something with this, I get the 016-764 failed to connect to smtp server error, which makes sense because I can't put in the right password for the email account.
1. What can I do to actually change that password?
2. Does it matter which email goes into the reply email section? Right now I just have it as the first email in the printer address book, which is my work email.
3. Do you see anything else that would be a potential cause for not being able to connect via smtp?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
