Secured SMTP on MFP 3115CN

Hy,

is there a way to use secured SMTP (SSL/TLS) on my MFP 3115CN printer ?

Actually only port 25 seems to be available. And my new mail provider does not accept unsecured SMTP connection anymore

Thanks

Hi, I have the same problem. I am migrating from an on-promises email server to the cloud and secure SMTP connection from the MFP 3115CN email client is mandatory.

While I could configure non-authenticated SMTP connections from LAN to the old email server, now moving to the cloud SSL TLS is mandatory!
None of the SMTP-AUTH settings in the configuration page of the "Dell MFP Laser 3115cn" support SSL TLS.

Is there a firmware upgrade to support secure email?

Please contact me directly if you need more info.

My MFP is out warranty but it is working perfectly. The Fuser and Belt Unit are at 80% capacity, light usage over last 10y. It is not environmentally friendly to dispose this MFP. We have to use it as long as the mechanical and electronics subsystems are fully functional. I hope Dell contributes to the protection of the environment!
I am a bit disappointed by Dell because it does not take full care of the software lifecycle of the products they launch on the market. They limit to only a few firmware updates after the immediate launch of the products.
But such devices as printers and computers can easily last 10 years if maintained well. And even on the second hand market they still have value and another life. But Dell does not take into account  completely the evolution of OS and Internet. I have to say that Dell hardware lives much longer than Dell software

Consider buying a router with a built-in print server -- that should be more up to date.

The issue with older print hardware is often that the contractor that built the printer either no longer exists, or it no longer has the updates available.
