Printer Hard Drive
I have a Dell Printer All-in-One (AIO) 2155 and we would like to dispose of it. Before I do, though, I would like to make sure it doesn't contain any of our private information. I were wondering if this printer had an internal hard drive. If so, where is it and how can one remove the data/information on it?

Because it limits interaction with the host machine, a virtual machine is "safe." It isn't any kind of special privacy software; it simply allows you to use a different operating system while remaining in the main one. The virtual machine's files and operations (along with all the core files) are written to the main hard drive as a VHD, or Virtual Hard Disk. The files in the virtual machine's VHD are not able to communicate with the operating system. However, executables may "break out" of the virtual machine and exploit the host operating system due to vulnerabilities that have been identified (and quickly patched).
Or when we had a large number of printers machines to wipe. Simply insert a pend rive into each one and turn it on; the drive will be automatically erased. If it worked with external docks, anything like this would be very useful. I'll take a look at it.

You can achieve this by using the printer menu, within the menu, look for settings to clear print history, or clear NVRAM, or "restore to factory settings".
Restoring factory settings is the best way for clearing printer memory before recycling or disposing the printer.
Refer the below article for relevant instructions:
