ocr app

please move as needed. is it possible to ADD a very useful ocr app to yours or any printer? what I want it to do is allow me to start a text document scan from the printer or app, send the scan to my NON MS office suite for editing and then printing. does such an app exist? I prefer not to replace my printer just for this reason. I would not use it enough to justify the cost. i tried any number of FREE ocr apps. NONE do what I describe here. the app must allow me to use the following extensions--- ODT, DOC,DOXS,TXT, or RTF. NO photo extensions such as jpeg,gif, tiff ect. all advice welcome. publisher, product name/version for win7. thanks.
