I have  a Dell C3760n printer at work, and I'm getting an error message that says "Reseat K toner and K drum." I took the black toner out and put it back in and restarted the printer like it said to, but the error message is still there. It said to contact Customer Support, and the code it's showing is 092-673. What can I do to get rid of the error message and start printing again?

The error code 092-673 on a Dell C3760n printer indicates a calibrating patch issue. This error can be caused by a dirty or faulty CTD (Conductivity Temperature Depth) sensor or the LED print head. Troubleshooting steps include cleaning the CTD sensor, cleaning the LED print head, updating the printer's firmware, and potentially replacing the imaging drum or transfer belt
Troubleshooting Steps:
1. Clean the CTD Sensor:
Turn off the printer.
Open the rear cover and the right side cover.
Turn the waste toner box lock lever 90-degrees counterclockwise and remove the waste toner box.
Clean the CTD sensor with a clean, dry cotton swab.
Reinstall the waste toner box and close the covers.
2. Clean the LED Print Head:
Open the right side cover.
Release the waste toner box.
Pull out the cleaning rod.
Insert the cleaning rod into the drum cartridges.
Return the cleaning rod to its original location.
3. Update Printer Firmware:
Consult the Dell website for instructions on updating the printer's firmware.
Note the current firmware version before updating.
Verify the firmware version after the update.
4. Replace Imaging Drums/Transfer Belt:
If the issue persists after cleaning and updating firmware, consider replacing the imaging drums or the transfer belt, as these are potential sources of the error.

Hey, I had the same issue with my C3760n a while back. The 092-673 code usually means the printer isn’t recognizing the black (K) toner or drum properly. Try this: take both the black toner and the black drum out, clean the contacts gently with a lint-free cloth, and reseat them firmly. Sometimes just reseating one isn’t enough. If that doesn’t work, you might need to replace the drum if it’s worn or not being detected anymore. Hope that helps!
