loud clicking noise and blurry/double images printing E525W
Our E525W is making loud clicking noise, sounds like its coming from the rear of the machine, and the output is blurry, or misaligned... Help!

Read through the E525w User's Guide. Page 265 discusses cleaning inside the printer. Doing this will entail disassembly and reassembly which could find the issue. Page 291 discusses print quality problems.

Cleaning may help with any kind of image quality issues, but what about the loud clicking noises? My current E525W is only a couple months old and started making this noise yesterday. My previous E525W started making it after about 14months -- which lead me to just trashing it and purchasing a new one. Note: The image quality on my printer is good, but the noises are a little disturbing.

My current E525W started making loud clicking noises yesterday, but the print quality is fine. Any ideas? Just a little history, my previous E525W started making loud clicking noises just after the warranty expired. I ended up junking the printer and purchasing a new one -- a little disappointing that my new printer, which is only a couple months old, is making the same noises as the old one.

As I said earlier, you need to disassemble the printer to try to locate the component that is clicking. So open it up, use it, listen for the noise, isolate the component.

I have the same issue, now with the added problem of it's not printing at all. A loud grinding noise, as though gear teeth are clashing. I cleaned, as per the page 295 instructions you mentioned. Nowhere in the instructions do I see how to disassemble the unit to locate the exact source of the problem. Please advise how to disassemble.
