How to reset the webservice admin account password | Dell B2375dnf Mono MFP |
Hello Support,
Is there a link on how to reset the admin password on my Dell B2375dnf Mono MFP?
Since the last firmware update i have not used the webservice [ews?sws] and now it
does not let me in via any browser.
The default password for the admin, or the password i made, do not work anymore...
I would like to install the latest firmware too but can not do that without a proper login.
Thank you, Josh [anoe]

I can not believe that a simple issue like this can take so long to answer. FYI and future records, and to keep your customers buying your products [based on the support knowledge you have] i advise to read the instructions here: www.helpowl.com/.../1023758
Enter "Service Mode".
o While logged out of the operator panel, press Home, Job Status and Info buttons in succession and hold each one after pressing until all of them are pressed. Hold for 2 seconds.
o When the password input window appears, touch the input box.
o Enter "1934".
o Press the arrow button in the bottom right.
o The Service Mode menu will be displayed.
o Press "Test Routine".
o Press "Other".
o Press "admin password reset".
anyway, thank you for taking the time to try helping but in my team the word trying is never used and will never be

Anoe,
You tried the following login info correct?
ID: admin •
Password: admin
Try using just "password" without quotes as a login password and if it works change the password on the Embedded Webservice site.

Jesse, I found the restore option and the factory reset but it will ask for the admin password. I am looking for a way to reset the ews without the need of an admin account. Hope there is a way.
The password and admin passcode is not accepted by the printer or on my pc over a browser ip address.Did the previous firmware update changed this?
I bought the printer on Feb. 24 2016 and i have the invoice too.
